Tocllaraju in the valley of Ishinca – Cordillera Blanca a very pleasant mountain, to ascend this mountain you need a good acclimatization, it is recommended to first climb small mountains so to get a good acclimatization, The Ishinca valley is a good option from the same base camp. You can climb more than 3 mountains some of them Urus 5,490m, Ishinca 5,560m and Tocllaraju 6,030m, if you need acclimatization first you can ascend Urus, Ishinca and then Tocllaraju. These mountains are great to climb because it takes different technical levels.
Transfer by private bus to the Pashpa Town, from here we will start our trek, we will ascend through the Ishinca Valley for about 5 hours to the Base Camp of Ishinca (4345 m.), During this route we will be able to observe the Copa mountains, Huascarán, Vallunaraju, etc. after ascending about 2 hours we will arrive at the Huascarán National Park Control, where we will have to register to enter the Mountains, after 3 hours we will be arriving at the Camp, where we will be able to enjoy the splendid view of the Tocllaraju (6035 m.) and the Urus ( 5495 m.s.n.m.)
After breakfast in the camp, we will begin to ascend to Camp 1 of Tocllaraju, after climbing 3 hours and a half we will arrive at the glacier where we will put the climbing equipment and continue our ascent for 2 hours until we reach field 1 (5300 m. ), at this altitude we can observe different mountains such as Rataquenua, Palcaraju, Ishinca, Urus, Copa, etc. Camping at the height of (5300 m.s.n.m.)
Departure at dawn after breakfast approx. At 3am we will begin our ascent to the summit of Tocllaraju (6032 m.), after ascending 6 hours we will be reaching the summit where we will be able to appreciate the good view of many mountains around us and be able to take photographs, after being a few minutes in the summit will begin to descend towards Camp 1. Camping.
After breakfast we will descend to our base camp campsite. 4 hours walk approx.
Departure from the Base Camp we will begin to descend towards the village of Pashpa, where we will be waiting for transportation that will not take us back to the city of Huaraz.
