The Trekking circuit along the Pre-Inka path that connects the Callejón de Huaylas with the Conchucos Valley. It is a hike that crosses the Cordillera Blanca through the Yanashallas pass (4,700 meters above sea level). Throughout 3 days of walking we will be able to appreciate different places, near beautiful snow-capped mountains. The culminating point is the arrival at the Archaeological Site of Chavín de Huantar, an impressive Pre-Inca construction, with a complex of underground galleries.
Transfer from Huaraz in a private bus until you reach Olleros (3450m) from where the trek begins along the Negro River and crossing the Uquián ravine. On this trail you can see several snow-capped peaks and mountains, and then organize your first camp in this area.
Following a clear horseshoe path marked by our ancestors and bordering some small lakes, we will arrive at the Yanashayash pass (4,700m), the highest pass of our camping trip in the Shoncopampa ravine.
We continue with the walk from the ravine passing some hamlets until we reach a clear and short ascent from where we can already see the archaeological complex of Chavín de Huantar, we just have to follow the path and reach the town of the same name. This last day is shorter, so arriving in Chavín we can visit the Archaeological Remains of Chavín, and then board the return transport to the city of Huaraz.
This wonderful hike is around the snowy Alpamayo (considered the most beautiful mountain on the planet in the 1966 Munich scenic photography contest).
