Hiking to one of the most beautiful lagoons in the Cordillera Blanca, its strategic location below the snowy Hualcán makes it reflect an intense blue in its waters.Laguna 513 requires adequate acclimatization and having the physical preparation to walk for more than 6 continuous hours round trip, it is located within the Huascarán National Park area, in the province of Carhuaz and is a good alternative if you have already visited Laguna 69 or Parón lagoon.
After the breakfast we leave Huaraz in bus very early heading in direction of the North to Cebollapampa where we will begin the ascent to the base camp, camp of closest approach to attack the summit the next day.
We will start climbing before sunrise, walking across the moraine until arriving at the start of the snow peak where we equip and begin the ascent to the summit. Reaching the summit before noon, the view from here is very beautiful, because the most important mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, as well as the Snow peak of Huascaran, our next goal. We will return to the base camp where we will eat a delicious dinner and take a well-deserved rest.
We will return by the same road where we came until we reached the city of Huaraz.
